About Noelle Quero:
Growing up in Marin County, California, Noelle was exposed to Alternative Medicine and Natural Foods as a child and thought everyone had a Health Food Store in their neighborhood. It wasn't until much later in life that she would realize she grew up in a very unique place. Noelle always had an innate fascination with holistic healing and nutrition and was constantly reading everything she could on how and why things happened to the body. She would tell everyone she was going to be a Dr. when she grew up. That's not quite how it turned out, but more on that in a bit. A love of writing and journalism led her down a different path for several years after College.
After starting her own Magazine and then her own Jewelry Company, her fascination for health and healing never quite went away and she often wondered how this passion would find her way into her life. Little did she know the answer to that would come sooner than she thought. While pregnant with her second child, she was becoming acutely aware that designing and making jewelry and owning jewelry stores was not satisfying her true purpose in life. She was struggling with where to turn next in her "business" and "life" journey. She closed the last of her stores just before giving birth to her second child in 2004. Shortly after her son, Jaden was born, Noelle and her husband were told that he had been diagnosed with Down Syndrome.
She became profoundly aware that their lives were about to take a direction that they hadn't quite planned, but knew were probably ready for. She asked many questions of herself in regards to why Jaden had Down Syndrome. She wondered if there was something she had done during or before the pregnancy that could have left her body deficient in some way as to cause this. She delved hard into researching and reading every scientific report, paper and document that had to do with Down Syndrome. Most of what she found was very outdated regurgitated medical jargon describing the worst case scenarios. She would look at her son and realize that what she was reading and what her son really was, were two totally different things. She quickly realized that the Medical world had not caught up with the reality of what was going on in the Real World. Babies and children with Down Syndrome were now living completely healthy, happy, satisfying lives. Why was all the information on the Internet so outdated and negative?
She made it her mission to not only educate her self, but to communicate with all of the other expecting and new Mom's and share all that she was learning. Thanks to many online support groups, one in particular called Down Syndrome Targeted Nutritional Intervention on Yahoo, she was able to meet so many other Mom's just as proactive and involved as she was. Soon after Jaden turned 3 months old, Noelle's first blog, Jaden's Journal was born.
Here she found a place to communicate with thousands of other Mom's just like her, from around the world. It was an amazingly cathartic time.
Not only did she learn about Nutritional Intervention in helping to keep Jaden healthy, but she learned of different Universities from around the world doing studies on Down Syndrome while making amazing advances in understanding how Down Syndrome works. The information she was learning about the body was not only fascinating, she was beginning to understand so much more about the body and mind than she ever though was possible. She learned about the brain's amazing ability to restore neurons, something they never thought was possible only a few years earlier.
She continually wrote about everything she learned and even wrote a Petition to help get a Bill passed in Congress, called the Kennedy-Brownback Bill. Thanks to this bill, the law now requires all Medical Practitioners to notify all expecting parents of all available resources if their unborn baby has a diagnosis of Down Syndrome or any other "abnormality". As oppose to just telling the expectant parents the worst case scenarios and outdated information and statistics.
Noelle's hope is to help inspire other Mom's and to let them know that Jaden was not only NOT a burden on their lives in any way, but quite the opposite, he is complete joy and perfection. Noelle's wish is that someday the 90% termination rate for Down Syndrome gets lower, so that there will be more beautiful children just like Jaden in the world. MyHealthiestLife.com was a natural evolution for Noelle. She started this site as a Blog as well, with the intention of sharing all that she was learning about the toxic ingredients companies are allowed to get away with putting in all of our products. From food to skin care to household products she couldn't believe the dangerous, toxic ingredients companies were allowed to legally use!
She started researching and writing about companies instead, that are committed to making totally natural, organic, safe, healthy, environmentally sound products. Soon after starting My Healthiest Life she started offering Giveaways, and then Coupons for many of the products she was writing about. Soon after the Blog was started, My Healthiest Life began to take off. In 2009, she published an E-Book the "Best of the Best Shopping Guide". The website now has an extensive selection of Exclusive All Natural, Organic and Sustainable Product Coupons. The Brand New My Healthiest Life now includes the Top Holistic Healing, Functional Medicine, Bio-Identical Hormone, Nutritional Healing Doctors,Practitioners as well as Healing Services, Healing Spas, Health Coaches and many other Natural Healing Modalities.
Noelle wants to make sure that people have a place where they can find the Holistic Help they are looking for easily and efficiently while also receiving discounts for the people, products or services they find. Noelle is very committed to researching and learning about the newest scientific information on nutritional healing. She believes profoundly in the body's own ability to heal if given the right tools. She has experienced first hand what it is like to heal your body through diet. She suffered for almost 20 years with chronic allergies and asthma, never knowing why or what she was allergic to. Simply by changing her diet, she was able to completely heal her body of allergies and asthma and now feels better at 43 than she did at 20! Noelle knows if she can heal her body, practically anyone can. It is her mission to help as many people as possible through this website and beyond.
Noelle received her Holistic Health Degree from the Intstitute for Integrative Nutrition, the world's largest nutrition school.
