NEW YORK (Reuters) - Despite the worst U.S. recession in decades, sales of organic and sustainable products have continued to grow, experts say, with shoppers willing to spend a few more dollars in a bid to become more green.

U.S. supermarket sales of environmentally sustainable or "ethical" products -- from energy-efficient light bulbs to organic produce -- will rise about 8.7 percent in 2009 to nearly $38 billion, according to a recent study by Packaged Facts, a market research provider.

I was recently fortunate enough to come across an extremely unique company called Solay Wellness. A new phenomenon is occurring amongst modern day health enthusiasts and it is quite the anthisesis of healthy. It is called Orthorexia and it is now loosely categorized as a full fledged eating disorder. This is a very interesting subject because anyone who spends time trying to avoid eating unhealthy additives, sugars, oils, etc. can find this to be very challenging, especially if one is working, running around and having to eat food outside of the house. It takes a tremendous amount of home preparation and time to always have healthy food ready to eat, whether you are in or out of the house.
